Vegetable Color: Ingredients:

• Peach Khayer: 1.5 tola/yard
• Potassium: 1.5 tola/yard
• Alum: 2 teaspoons/yard

Procedure: Boil the required amount of water in a pot. When the water boils, add khayer and alum, and stir until they dissolve. After dissolving, let the mixture cool in a plastic container. In another steel or aluminum container, dissolve potassium in the required amount of cold water. Dip the wax-coated dry cloth first in the khayer mixture for 5 minutes, then squeeze and dip in the potassium mixture for 5 minutes. Repeat this process every 5 minutes for an hour. Finally, wash the cloth in cold water and dry in the shade. Remove the wax afterward using the method described later.

Rapid Color/Brush Print: Ingredients:

• Alginet gum: 1 teaspoon
• Urea: 0.5 teaspoon
• Baking soda: 0.5 teaspoon
• Washing soda: 0.5 teaspoon
• Color: 2.5 teaspoons*
• Resin salt: 1 teaspoon

Mixing Procedure: Dissolve alginet gum in warm water. Gradually mix gum + urea + soda + color + resin salt in sequence. Add resin salt at the end. Apply the mixture to the dry cloth using a block or brush.

Color Mixtures:

• Red + Yellow = Orange (1 teaspoon + 1 teaspoon)
• Yellow + Blue = Green (1 teaspoon + 0.5 teaspoon)
• Blue + Red = Purple (0.5 teaspoon + 1 teaspoon)
• Red + Orange = Brick color (1 teaspoon + 1 teaspoon)
• Red + Purple = Alta (1 teaspoon + 0.5 teaspoon)
• Yellow + Green = Citron (0.5 teaspoon + 1 teaspoon)
• Yellow + Orange = Basanti (Golden color) (1 teaspoon + 0.25 teaspoon)
• Blue + Green = Peacock color (1 teaspoon + 1 teaspoon)
• Blue + Purple = Gray (1 teaspoon + 0.25 teaspoon)
• Red + Turquoise = Maroon (1 teaspoon + 1 teaspoon)
• Red + Blue + Yellow = Chocolate (Maroon) (2 teaspoons + 1 teaspoon + 0.5 teaspoon)
• Orange + Green + Purple = Chocolate (Maroon)
• Pink + Turquoise = Maroon
• Orange + Blue/Black = Coffee (1 teaspoon + 0.25 teaspoon)
• Red + Orange = Deep Red (1 teaspoon + 0.5 teaspoon)
